Foundry Ridge

Foundry Ridge Energy Center is a proposed 324 megawatt natural gas peaking plant in the Town of Darien in Walworth County, WI, developed by Invenergy.  If approved, construction will begin in 2027, with the energy center becoming operational in 2028.

Peaking plants operate only during times of high electric demand, when baseload isn’t enough, providing reliable power to maintain a stable and responsive electric grid.
